Football Service

Having coaches on board our team that have played football at the highest level’s helps make Inspired Coaching THE organization when it comes to coaching young players. All our football coaches are at least Level 2 qualified, with some Level 3 & 4/ UEFA ‘A’ & ‘B’, and are all fully C.R.B. checked.

At Inspired Coaching we have the luxury that our lead football coach is also a part- time Academy coach with Premiership team Stoke City. This experience and knowledge at this level is passed on throughout the team to make our sessions not only fun and safe, but with a structure in place that gives the youngsters we coach the best chance to develop their skills and progress as players. We obviously encounter players of all abilities and ages, and adapt accordingly, making sure everyone enjoys and learns from our sessions. A guideline to the planning all our sessions is:-

25% of Session- Unopposed Techniques.

This part of the session will allow for a warm up, and then will concentrate on unopposed techniques. The difficulty of the technique will be dependant on the ability level of the group, but will address fundamentals such as ball control, dribbling, passing, spacial awareness, etc. By being ‘unopposed’ the players can learn through trial and error without feeling added pressure. This part of the session is without doubt the most beneficial for youngsters up to the age of 12.

15% of Session- Opposed Techniques.

This section will be an extension of part 1, with the techniques being put to the test a little bit by opponents being put in place. i.e. For an intermediate group who’s unopposed technique was a passing exercise, part 2 could be focused on 4 v1 possession. The 4 players try to keep possession of the ball in a small area whilst being closed down by the defender.

15% of Session- Opposed Techniques -(Resulting in a Goal Scoring Opportunity).

Again there will be a natural progression to the session, with the techniques worked on previously in the session being put to the test but with an emphasis on ending with a shot a goal. An example would be that there could now be 2 possession squares within 15 yards of goal. The team that gets to a set amount of passes without the defender intercepting can advance towards goal.

45% of Session- Small Sided Game.

It is important to get the players to put the techniques learnt in to a game situation. Sometimes these games might be conditioned to emphasise that specific coaching point, so to continue our ‘Passing’ theme, we may dictate that a team must make a set amount of passes before scoring a goal.

If your school needs a dedicated team of experts to help pupils learn the beautiful game please recommend Inspired Coaching to the head teacher. Alternatively join us on one of our holiday football courses, or our private coaching sessions.

We also can offer your club a helping hand to achieve results as a team. These sessions focus on the team as a unit as much as the individual, looking at basic organisation, set plays, formations, etc.

If you want to know more about any of these then please leave us a message and we’ll get back to you straight away!
